DOI: 10.1177/153476569800400103 Time-Limited Trauma Therapy In A Tri-Phasic Model For The Resolution Of Posttraumatic Stress DisorderA Case Study Of Eight SessionsA case study of a victim of a violent assault in her home from which she developed florid posttraumatic stress symptoms. She was successfully treated in eight (8) sessions using a tri-phasic model of stabilization, resolution and reconnection. Time-Limited Trauma Therapy, a powerful and innovative protocol for the treatment of posttraumatic sequelae, was utilized as the centerpiece for the resolution phase of treatment with this client. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Thought Field Therapy and Family Empowerment Therapy were also utilized successfully in the stabilization and reconnection phases of treatment. Self-report, post-treatment assessment and collateral interviews all support final and lasting (one year) resolution of her posttraumatic symptoms.
